Companhia das Letras

Companhia das Letras is the company name of the Brazilian publishing company Editora Schwarcz SA, headquartered in São Paulo. The company was founded in 1986 and has since appeared about 3,000 book titles from 1,500 authors in the seven belonging to it Imprints out. Publishing history

The publishing house was founded in 1986 by Luiz Schwarcz, the publishing experience from activities from the publisher Editora Brasiliense already brought, and his wife, Lilia Moritz Schwarcz social anthropologist.
