Concepcion Picciotto

Concepcion Picciotto, also known as Conchita or Connie ( * ca 1945 in Vigo, Spain as Concepción Martín ) lives since August 1, 1981 in protest against nuclear weapons, over the White House in Lafayette Park on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC.

At the age of 18, she emigrated to the United States, where she worked in New York City in the Spanish consulate. You fell in love with an Italian business man and married him. A painful divorce and a custody war cost them their homes, their daughter and their profession.
