Conchata Ferrell

Conchata Galen Ferrell ( born March 28, 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia ) is an American actress.

Life

Conchata Ferrell studied at West Virginia University and graduated in Social Sciences and Education at Marshall University. She appeared in the Off-Broadway play The Sea Horse and won for her role in 1974 Drama Desk Award and an Obie Award.

In the Western Heartland starred opposite Rip Torn one of the main roles, and won the 1981 Western Heritage Award. In the comedy Pizza Pizza - A Slice of Heaven (1988 ) she played the role of the pizzeria owner, Leona, in which Daisy Arujo (Julia Roberts), Kat Arujo ( Annabeth Gish ) and Jojo ( Lili Taylor) are working. In 2000 she again played a supporting role in a Julia Roberts movie, this time in Erin Brockovich.

For her role as Susan Bloom, she played in the television series LA Law from 1991 to 1992, she was nominated for a 1992 Emmy Award. In 1996, she appeared in the television series Townies. Since 2003, she appears as a housekeeper Berta on the side of Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, Ashton Kutcher later in the television series Two and a Half Men. For this role she won in 2005 and 2007 nominations for an Emmy Award.

Ferrell is married to sound engineer Arnie Anderson.

The Berlin actress Regina Lemnitz is often served as her voice actress.
