Condiment

As condiments, a group of foods referred to in the German Food Code, which is used for seasoning food and food products. The scheme was set out in the " Guidelines for spices and other condiments ."

One distinguishes several groups:

  • Spices
  • Spice mixtures
  • Spice mixes and spice preparations
  • Seasoned salts
  • Preparations with seasoning ingredients
  • Spice flavor preparations
  • Spice flavor salts
  • Season
  • Seasoning mixes and seasonings
  • Seasoning sauce ( sauces )
