Cone of depression

When lowering the hopper, even depression funnel is called in the hydro- engineering the shape of the groundwater surface that forms during stationary operation of a well or a lowering of ground water in unconfined groundwater. Since the influx from the aquifer is less than the amount withdrawn, the water level lowers.
