Coney Island (Bermuda)

Coney Iceland is an island of Bermuda, located on the western edge of Castle Harbour between the southwestern tip of St. George's Iceland and the northeastern tip of Grand Bermuda, the Bermudan main island.

From Grand Bermuda, a 200 meter long, by a narrow bridge ( Groto Bay Bridge ) leads broken pavement on the small Coney Iceland. As the old railway bridge is destroyed after Saint George's Iceland, can be reached here from the eastern islands in the Saint George's Parish only by water. An alternative is the continuous roadway The Causeway, which 800 meters east of Coney Iceland is located and to the airport on Saint David's Iceland leads.

The name of the island is of Coney, the English name for the Caribbean coral grouper ( Cephalopholis fulva ), a fish species of the cephalopholis from the kind of groupers derived, which occurs in the area around Coney Iceland in large numbers.
