Connected Device Configuration
Connected Device Configuration (CDC ) is a development system for Java ME applications in embedded systems from pagers to set-top boxes. There are also still CLDC and MIDP, which allow further specialization. CDC has been defined in the Java Community Process as JSR 36 (CDC 1.0) and JSR 218 (CDC 1.1).
The Personal Profile of CDC replaces Personal Java, in which it was a Java-based 1.1.8 runtime environment for mobile and embedded systems.
Standard requirements
32- bit CPU, 2 MB RAM and 2.5 MB of ROM.
Profiles
CDC defines three profiles:
- Foundation Profile similar to the Java SE programming
