Connie Sawyer

Connie Sawyer, actually Rosie Cohen ( born November 27, 1912 in Pueblo, Colorado ) is an American actress. She is currently the oldest living and active actress in the world.

Life

Connie Sawyer is the daughter of an immigrant Romanian Orthodox Jewish faith and an American woman. The arranged marriage came to arranging her uncle. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado. At the age of seven years, the family moved to Oakland, California, where she ran a Militaria business.

As her mother even dreamed of being an actress, she financed her daughter singing and dancing lessons. After her high school she went briefly to San Francisco before they went at the age of 19 years to New York City to stand there as a nightclub singer on the stage. There was a stand-up career as a comedian and several appearances on Broadway, including in the play A Hole in the Head, which was filmed too large later by Frank Sinatra under the Title number. They even played it again the figure of Miss Wexler. So she started her film career, which includes coveted by 2012 more than 150 film and television productions, including The marshal, Harry and Sally and What the heart, where they played almost exclusively according to their age supporting roles. She currently lives in Woodland Hills in the Motion Picture Country House.
