Conrad Fink

Conrad Warmund Christian Maria Fink (* July 7, 1900 in Munich, † 25 July 1981) was a German librarian and politician ( BP, CSU ).

Life and career

After attending elementary school and graduating from the Gymnasium in Munich Fink began studying philology, religious studies and art history at the universities of Munich and Marburg, which he awarded the degree of Dr. phil. finished. Subsequently, he worked in a scientific Antiquarian and in the public library service, most recently as Oberbibliotheksrat. During the period of National Socialism, he was under surveillance from 1937 to 1945 by the Gestapo. After the Allies bombed, he moved to the county parish churches and settled in Postmuenster.

Policy

Fink was from 1919 to 1933 member of the Bavarian People's Party ( BVP ). After the Second World War he worked again politically, joined in early 1946 in the Christian Social Union (CSU ), and was elected to the CSU district chairman in parish churches. He was Commissioner for Refugees since March 1946 and was completed in June 1946, District Administrator of the parish churches. In March 1948, he moved over to the Bavarian Party (BP).

Fink was elected at the first general election in 1949 for the Bayern party in the German Bundestag and won a direct mandate in the election in the constituency parish churches. As on 14 December 1951, the BP Group with the Center for the Federal Union ( FU) merged to get to the faction status, Fink was appointed CEO of the new Parliamentary Group. However, he left in protest against the merger of the Party and the Free University and joined on January 5, 1952, the CSU group.

He was until January 1952 Member of the Committee for All-German Affairs and the Committee on Berlin, also from September 1950 to January 1952 Member of the Committee on foreign trade issues. In February and March 1952, he was a short time in the Committee on load balancing and June 1951 to January 1952 in the Committee on expellees. As of February 1952 Fink was a member of the Committee on Petitions and from March 1952 the Committee on Legal and Constitutional Law. At the end of the legislative period 1953 Finch retired from the Bundestag.
