Constantines

The Constantines are an indie rock band from Ontario, Canada.

Band History

The Constantines were founded in 1999, after Shoulder, had the band of Bryan Webb and Doug MacGregor resolved. Their first, self-titled album was nominated in 2001 in the United States in various college radio success and for a Juno Award. 2003 and 2005 were released two more albums, the fourth album Kensington Heights was released in September 2008.

Sound & Style

During the early albums of the band corresponding to their typical for the ( indie ) rock instrumentation, Tournament of Hearts and Kensington Heights are a tendency towards the experimental. The particular use of two guitars sound is always accompanied or interrupted by electronic inserts. A characteristic feature of the band is also the rough vocals of Steve Lambke.
