Constantinos Charalambides

Constantinos Charalambides (Greek Κωσταντίνος Χαραλαμπίδης; born 25 July 1981 in Nicosia) is a Cypriot footballer who currently plays for APOEL Nicosia.

Career

Konstantinos Charalambides began his professional career in his native city of Nicosia in Nicosia APOEL in the Cypriot first division. With APOEL Charalambides be played quickly to the fore and won in the following years, in addition to two championships and one cup three times the Cypriot Super Cup. Overall Charalambides came at APOEL to 122 missions and 25 goals. In January 2005, Charalambides eventually moved to Greece to Panathinaikos Athens. After initial acclimatization problems, the Cypriots played for Panathinaikos in the root formation and debuted for the first time in the UEFA Champions League, with him against Udinese scored his first Champions League goal. In 2006, Charalambides in a swap are on loan to PAOK Thessaloniki. After PAOK in January 2007, however, outstanding salary payments could not be supplied Charalambides moved back to Panathinaikos, where he stood up to the end of the season under contract. In August 2007, he undertook the second division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena, in January 2008, however, he returned back to APOEL Nicosia.

Charalambides, which is an integral part of the Cypriot national team plays as an attacking midfielder and acts preferably on the right wing.
