Conteville (Calvados)
Conte Ville is a municipality with 102 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Calvados in the Basse -Normandie region in northern France.
Geography
Neighboring municipalities are Chicheboville in the north, Billy the east, Poussy -la -Campagne in the south, Saint- Aignan -de- Cramesnil in the west and Garcelles - Secqueville in the northwest.
History
1047 found north of Conteville between Duke William II and his cousin Guy of Burgundy, the Battle of Val- ès -Dunes to the Duchy of Normandy instead. During the Second World War Conteville was liberated on August 13, 1944 by the British infantry.
The current mayor is André Dubreuil.
