» Contra principia negantem disputari non potest " ( also: contra principia non est negantem disputandum ) is a Latin proverb, which calls for the recognition of common communication basics and includes a rejection of ideological argumentation.

The in German translation roughly " with someone who denies the principles / fundamentals [ of the discussion / communication ], can cause no conflict ," denominated sentence is presumably back to Aristotle and takes place in the rhetoric to Thomas Aquinas repeatedly applying where a minimum universally recognized, especially logical communication elements is required.
