Contrary motion

When motion is referred to in the musical counterpoint teaching the directional relationship between two voices to one another. We distinguish the cases of the same movement, counter-movement and lateral movement. The same movement, more so the special case of parallel motion, subject to the classical counterpoint certain prohibitions.
