Convention of Patriots for Justice and Peace

The Convention of patriotes pour la justice et la paix (French for Convention of Patriots for Justice and Peace or short CPDP ) is a rebel army from the east of the Central African Republic. It was founded by Charles Massi. The group had in early 2010 about 1,000 soldiers under arms and was able to number, after the arrest of Massi beginning of 2010, increasing to 3,000 (January 2011).

On 24 November 2010 the CPDP conquered the city Birao, which was retaken by government forces again after one week. In this case, the Air Force flew Chad attacks.

The group abducted 21 employees of the Electoral Commission for the presidential election in the Central African Republic in 2011.
