Cooks' Cottage

Cook 's Cottage is the only 18th-century building in Melbourne. It was originally built in 1755 in Yorkshire ( England). In 1933 it was dismantled and transported to Australia. Many people remembered it to the discoverer of Australia's east coast, James Cook, who has never set foot in Melbourne and Victoria, however. Cook 's Cottage was built by his parents, and later obsessed. Captain Cook himself has probably never entered the house. Around the house, a cottage garden in period style is applied, at the flagpole of the Union Jack, under the Cook sailed east and Australia for Great Britain took possession of blows. The cottage is located in the romantic park Fitzroy Gardens, which was created in 1848 on 26 acres and is regularly visited by numerous Saturdays wedding parties for photo shoots.
