Cooperation and Brotherhood

Schituf weAchwa (Arabic مشاركة وأخوة; Hebrew שיתוף ואחווה, lit cooperation and brotherhood. ) Was an Israeli- Arab political party in Israel, which was established for the elections in 1959. She was associated with Mapai.

In the elections of 1959, the party won 1.1% of the votes and two seats: MPs were Labib Hussein Abu Rokan and Youssef Diab. Due to the fact that the party was associated with Mapai, she was part of the coalition government.

In the elections in 1961 the party won 1.9% of the votes and overtook Kidma wePituach and was the strongest Israeli- Arab party in the Knesset. With its four seats, it was represented during the fifth parliamentary term in all three government coalition. Both Abu Rochan and Diab were replaced by Tschabar Muadi and Diyab Obeid.

On 5 July 1966, the party merged with Kidma wePituach to start Schituf wePituach. However, the alliance broke apart again on January 1, 1967. On April 11, 1967 Muadi left the party to form a new party, the HaSi'a haDrusit haJisra'elit, although he was a member of the Kidma wePituach in the Knesset.
