Cooplacurripa River

The Cooplacurripa River is a river in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales.

Geography

It rises in the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales at an altitude of 1260 m on the Great Dividing Range, about 3.5 km north-east of Riamukka. From there it flows to the southeast, taking on the Walcrow River and the Mummel River and flows finally 33 km southeast of Nowendoc in the Nowendoc River.

The land along the Cooplacurripa River serves as grazing land, mainly for the entertainment of meat cows. The 22560 hectare calf rearing station Cooplacurripa the river was formerly part of the Australian Agricultural Company ( AACO ) in 1929 found a man in Cooplacurripa death when he tried to cross the river at high tide.
