Cora Sandel

Cora Sandel ( born December 20 1880 as Sara Fabricius in Christiania, † 1974 in Uppsala, Sweden) was a Norwegian writer who wrote on Riksmål.

She grew up in Tromsø and settled with 25 years to Paris, where she tried to establish himself as an artist. Here she attended a school of painting and wrote her first travel books and novels. In 1921 she was living in Sweden.

Only after their separation from the artist Anders Jönsson was born in 1926 their debut, the semi- autobiographical novel Alberte og Jacob as the first part of a trilogy. The trilogy continued with Alberte Alberte og Friheten (1931 ) and Bare Alberte (1939 ), and is considered a major work Cora Sandel.
