Coracobrachialis muscle

The coracobrachialis muscle (Latin for " Coracobrachialis " or " Rabenschnabel upper arm muscle " ) is one of the skeletal muscles of the upper arm. It rises together with the short arm of the biceps brachii and is fused in its proximal part with him. Through the muscle joins the musculocutaneous nerve. With his arm raised the muscle is visible through the skin and leads to its inside the neurovascular street of the upper arm.

Function

The main function of the musculus coracobrachialis is the fixation of the humerus in the glenoid fossa. Its other functions are adduction (drag to body ), anteversion ( pull forward ) and internal rotation of the arm.
