Cordeaux River

The Cordeaux River is a river in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales. It is a tributary of the Nepean River, which flows into the Hawkesbury River.

The source is located on the western slopes of the coastal mountains of New South Wales in Kembla Heights, about 10 kilometers west of Wollongong. The headwaters of the river is dammed to Lake Cordeaux. Below the dam, the river flows in a north-westerly direction, where he south of Wilton the Avon River receives. Located about 1 km below the mouth of the Cordeaux River flows into the Nepean River. Overall, the river is about 28 km long.

The river is an important water source for the Greater Sydney. The water is collected in the four reservoirs of the Upper Nepean system.
