Cornwall (Prince Edward Island)

Cornwall is a Canadian city in Queens County in the province of Prince Edward Iceland. The city is located west of the provincial capital Charlottetown and serves many commuters as a bedroom community.

History

The municipality Cornwall returns its historical origins to a European-founded in the 1700s settlement. She was until the construction of Route 1 (which is part of the Trans-Canada Highway is ) dominated by agriculture in the early 1960s. Some neighborhoods were built close this section with the Meadowbank Road. In 1995, the present-day districts of North River, Elliot River, East Wiltshire and York Point were incorporated.

Education

Cornwall has three schools that are associated with the Eastern School District.
