Coronado is a town in the north of Uruguay.

Geography

It is located in the northwestern part of the department of Artigas in its seventh sector south of Bella Unión on the banks of the Río Uruguay. To the east is adjacent to Portones de Hierro y Campodónico.

Population

Coronado has 438 inhabitants, of whom 230 men and 208 women (as of 2011).
