Corrado Giaquinto

Corrado Giaquinto ( born February 18, 1703 Molfetta, † 1765 or 1766 in Naples) was an Italian painter of the Rococo era.

His parents had originally intended for an ecclesiastical career Giaquinto. However, he could have his own way, by going to the artist teaching at the locally famous painter Saverio Porta. From 1719 to 1723 he studied in the studios in Naples in the artist Francesco Solimena with several others becoming artists of his time, such as Giuseppe Bonito.
