Architectural style and location

The main building is located in the so-called small inner-city ring directly on the banks of the Danube, opposite the Műszaki Egyetem, Budapest University of Technology and within view of the Statue of Liberty on Gellért Hill and Gellért Bath (Hungarian: Gellért Fürdő or Gellért Gyógyfürdő, the latter Gellért Gesundheitsbad means ). On the rear front of the main building, separated only by a small side street, lies the Great Market Hall. About 50 meters to the southeast is another building of the university, which houses the computer labs. In the same direction, a further 100 meters, but separated about 150 meters from the banks of the Danube, which was built around 2006 new building is located in a modern style. The main building, however, is a massive building in the more classical style. Note the impressive ceiling height of the ground floor (especially at the entrance) and the glazed atrium, which is also used for official events. The University has in addition to the aforementioned additional buildings in close fußläufigen environment where particular language instruction takes place.

Student life

The winter semester at the University starts in early September for Hungarian students. The lectures go there partly to Christmas and the tests are mostly in the new year. The summer semester is followed by a short pause, however, is completed in June. Erasmus students in the winter semester will usually start with the Introductory Events end of August ( when they do not realize a course previously ), but can finish the semester for before Christmas. Thus, the term - sharing is rather the Anglo- American dominated systems closer than the German.
