Cotagaita River

The Río Cotagaita is a river in the Potosí Department in the Andes mountains of southern Bolivia.

The river has a total length of 86 kilometers and passes through the two cantons Río Blanco and Cotagaita in the municipality in the province of Nor Cotagaita chichas in northwest -southeast direction. The Río Cotagaita bears in the headwaters of the Río Blanco name and bears his name then downstream from the mouth of the Río Phusuta in the Río Blanco.

From the mouth of the Río Caiti in the Río Cotagaita at kilometer 31 of the river to its confluence with the Río Tumusla is accompanied on the right side by a dirt road. The only significant settlement on the riverbank of the Rio Cotagaita is the village Cotagaita on the left bank of the river; here is also one of the two road bridges over the river, the second crosses the Río Cotagaita located directly in front of his mouth.
