Côte d'Albâtre

The Alabaster Coast ( La Cote d' albâtre French ) is the coast of the French region of Haute -Normandie. The name comes from the alabaster - colored, up to 100 m high cliffs, which only occasionally by a reaching down to the sea valley cut (French Valleuse ) be broken.

The 120 km long Alabaster coast extends from Le Havre at the mouth of the Seine to the north- east to behind Tréport on the border region Picardy. It forms a part of the French coast on the English Channel. Striking geographic points are Fagnet Cape and Cape d' Antifer.

Main towns along the Alabaster Coast are Le Havre, Fécamp, Dieppe and Le Tréport. A spectacular highlight are the rock formations around Etretat and yport.
