Couhé

Couhé is a commune with 1835 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the district Montmorillon, in the department of Vienne in the Poitou -Charentes; it is the capital of the canton Couhé.

Geography

The village is located about 35 kilometers south of Poitiers and about 50 kilometers east of Niort, on the banks of the River Dive. Neighboring municipalities are:

  • In the North: Châtillon
  • In the Northeast: Ceaux -en- Coutre
  • The east and southeast: Vaux
  • In the south Brux
  • In the west: Rome ( already in the neighboring department of Deux -Sèvres )

Transport links

The municipality is crossed by the national road N 10 in the north-south direction. The nearest aerodrome Aerodrome Coutre - Verac is just outside the municipal area, in the municipality of Brux.
