Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India

Council of Baptist Churches in North East India ( CBCNEI ) is a Baptist church in India. It was founded in 1950. The Council of Baptist Churches in North East India is not part of the Baptist World Alliance and the World Council of Churches. However, it belongs to the National Council of Churches in India. He is also a member of the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation. Its headquarters is in Guwahati in Assam. The Council of Baptist Churches in North East India has about 600 000 individual members. Its members are Arunachal Baptist Church Council, Assam Baptist Convention, Garo Baptist Convention, Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention, Manipur and Nagaland Baptist Convention Baptist Church Council. The largest of these are the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and Manipur Baptist Convention. The CBCNEI has several churches in 1000. Another major Baptist church in India is the Samavesam of Telugu Baptist Churches.
