Couperin family

The Couperin influenced more than 200 years, from the 17th to the mid 19th century, French music. Her most famous representative was François Couperin "the Great", whose instrumental composition entitled " Les Bagatelles " ( 1717) the technical term Bagatelle back.

As of Easter Sunday 1653 Louis Couperin's first day of work there members of this family had 174 years long held the post of organist at the parish church of Saint -Gervais -Saint- Protais.
