Cour de Justice de la République

The Court of Justice of the Republic (French Cour de Justice de la République, CJR ) is a French court which prosecutes exclusively through the trespasses French Minister in the exercise of their duties.

The CJR was created ( the Constitution, Article 68-1 and 68-2 ) on 27 July 1993 during the presidency of François Mitterrand by constitution-amending law. This year, infections were known throughout Europe by HIV- contaminated blood products and also former Prime Minister Laurent Fabius should be held accountable.

The Court is composed of 15 judges; three of them, including the chairman, to come from the highest court, the Court of Cassation, twelve are politicians. Six are elected by the National Assembly from among them, six by the Senate from its center. President is currently Martine Ract - Madoux; her predecessor was Henri -Claude Le Gall.

Any aggrieved citizen can apply to the court. He turns to a committee (Commission of the Legal Adviser ), which consists of seven judges of the Court of Cassation, the Conseil d'État and the Cour des comptes. Here already the method can be adjusted.

In the second step, the case gets to another instance, the commission d'instruction of three judges. Only then the case can be handed over to the Court.

Since 1993 there were numerous advertisements, but only to a few sentences. The procedures were each only following years. Laurent Fabius, for example, was only in 1999, after six years, acquitted.
