Covra

Covra ( Centrale voor organisatie radioactief afval ) is a Dutch organization based in Vlissingen, the stored radioactive waste.

The operation stands on the site of the nuclear power plant Borssele. Until the dutch government has decided where a permanent disposal should be set Covra is used as temporary storage for the Dutch radioactive waste. Are stored here spent fuel from the nuclear power plant Borssele and the ( disused ) Dodewaard nuclear power plant. Even radioactive waste from hospitals is processed here. COVRA has a license for storage of a hundred years.
