CP Cacereño

The Club Polideportivo Cacereño is a Spanish football club from the Spanish city of Caceres, Extremadura. The club was founded in 1919 playing in the 2007/ 08 season in the Tercera División, Group 14

History

In his nearly 90 years of history of the Club CP Cacereño Founded in 1919, played only once in the Spanish professional football. In the season 1952/53, it was represented in the Segunda División but after only one year had to descend again already. Most of the time spent, the association in the Spanish Tercera División, which at first was third, and later fourth league.

In the 2003/2004 season CP Cacereño made ​​the headlines again by itself, as the club failed to qualify for the Copa del Rey. After a 1-2 home defeat vs. Deportivo Xerez however, came from as early as the first round.

Stadium

CD Cacereño plays at the Estadio Príncipe Felipe Cáceres, Extremadura, which has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. The stadium was inaugurated on 26 March 1977.
