Craft of Scandinavia

Under the Swedish brand CRAFT OF SCANDINAVIA company operates a manufacturer of technical sportswear. The brand was founded in 1977 in southern Sweden Boras, a traditional textile city. Boras is still the headquarters of the company. The origin of Craft is the development of functional clothing that works as two ribbed knit on the principle of capillary action. Meanwhile CRAFT produces sportswear for all three layers of clothing in the management system. CRAFT operates worldwide and focuses on sports like cross-country skiing, triathlon, cycling and running.

History

Began in 1973 when the Swede Anders Bengtsson with the study of materials at ( sports) activities carry away the sweat from the body and thus should have an ideal microclimate. His practical tests also counted, weighed before and after exercise garments - and thus to determine the weight of the moisture. He used polyester fibers that receive a minimum of moisture and processed them with a special weaving technique. According to the principle of capillary action perspiration moisture is effectively transported away from the body, where it quickly evaporates. The Craft brand was officially established in 1977. Shortly thereafter, the company began next baselayer clothing also for the second layer (for the most part made ​​of fleece material) to produce and outerwear.
