Crenshaw High School is a high school in the district of South Central Los Angeles, California with about 2,600 students.

Beginning to Today

The Crenshaw High School opened in 1968. Today, the Crenshaw High is a school with an average of about 2600 students who are mostly African-American origin. The colors of the Crenshaw High are blue and gold, the mascot is the Cougar ( engl: Puma). The biggest rival of the school is Susan Miller Dorsey High School, which is located nearby. In August 2005, the Crenshaw High lost its accreditation of a high school, because she could no longer meet various standards, but was eventually rehabilitated in February 2006 after some improvements.

High school sports

The Crenshaw High School is nationally known for its promotion of sports in the sports of basketball, football and baseball, the sports team at school called the Crenshaw High Cougars. Basketball is by far the most important sport in the Crenshaw High.
