Hard to Die (Chinese重案组, Pinyin Zhong An zǔ, alternatively: Crime Story, more titles see below ) is a twisted, 1993 Hong Kong action and martial arts movie with Jackie Chan.

Action

The story is based on a true story, the kidnapping of a Hong Kong businessman. This feels threatened by a gang of criminals and therefore gets Inspector Chan as a bodyguard. The inspector not only believe in the seriousness of the threat, but then the businessman Wong is really kidnapped. When it held chase between the police and the kidnappers it comes to the death of a patrolman.

Inspector Chan feels guilty and does everything possible to free the hostages back, but for some reason the criminals are always one step ahead of him. Until Chan then finds out the reason: The leader of the criminals and Chan Hung manager are one and the same person. Alone, Chan makes now working to save the businessman.
