Criterion Games

Criterion Games (formerly Criterion Software ) is an English development studio for computer games and game engines, with headquarters in Guildford. The most popular games of the company, which are developed by the Department Criterion Games, the Burnout series and the first-person shooter Black. Furthermore, Criterion has the game engine render goods developed which is used in various games, such as GTA III.

In August 2004 the company Electronic Arts (EA ) was acquired after Criterion was previously wholly owned by Canon UK.
