Crown Point (Tobago)

Region

Crown Point is a small tourist town in the southwest of the Caribbean island of Tobago in the densely populated Parish Saint Patrick. At the 2000 census Crown Point had 525 inhabitants.

The city

Crown Point is located at the Store Bay called Bay on the Caribbean Sea, located directly in their southern ANR Robinson International Airport. The nearest ferry port is 14 km to the east island capital Scarborough. 2 km to the east is the neighboring town of Canaan.

On the banks extend generous hotel facilities, little beach is publicly available and has showers and changing facilities.

The town is dominated by hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and shops.

Fort Milford was built in 1770 by the British to protect the bay on a cliff overlooking the sea. The remains, especially guns are involved in a small memorial park.

Environment

In the area attracts primarily of Crown Point on the coastal road to reach, located north of Pigeon Point, a particularly picturesque beach. He is chargeable and the main attraction for tourists.

From the Store Bay Start glass bottom boats for Buccoo Reef, a 12,000 -year-old, 12 -acre reef, one of the most famous in the southern West Indies and also a tourist attraction.
