CS Sfaxien

Club Sportif Sfaxien is a Tunisian sports club from Sfax, who is primarily known for its football department.

The club was founded in 1928 under the name Club Tunisia. At that time the club colors were green and red. 1947 succeeded in rising to the first division, the Division d' Honneur. In 1950, the first fan club headed by Béchir Fendri was founded. 1962, the club was renamed and given its present name, Club Sportif Sfaxien. In addition, the club colors were changed to black and white.

The 50th anniversary of the club in 1978 was celebrated with a championship title. This was achieved mainly by a Tunisian national team with such Hamadi Agrebi, Mohammed Ali Akid and Mokhtar Dhouib strengthened team. Overall, the current seven championships and three cup victories could be won.

Succeeded in 1998 with victory over ASC Jeanne d' Arc in Dakar CAF Cup first international success of the club. In addition, twice the Arab Champions League could be won.
