Culture and Sport Ministry
The Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports (Hebrew משרד התרבות והספורט, Misrad Hatarbut VeHaSport ) is a new and relatively small Ministry in Israel. The important cultural and sports policy were settled in the past in other ministries. From 1949 to 1999 and from 2003 to 2006, the cultural policy was a task of the Ministry of Education. Sports policy was from 1994 to 1999 and from 2003 to 2006, a task of the Ministry of Education. From 2006 to 2009 Cultural and Sports Policy in the Ministry of Science and Technology had their home, after which they were merged in March 2009 by the government of Netanyahu back into a single Ministry.
