Cüneyt Arkın
Cuneyt Arkın ( civil Fahrettin Cüreklibatır; born September 8, 1937 in Karaçay, Alpu district in the province of Eskişehir, Turkey) is a Turkish actor, screenwriter, film director and producer.
Life
Arkin was born the son of emigrants of the Crimea in the village near the Anatolian city of Eskişehir Karaçay, where he attended elementary school. The high school he graduated from Eskişehir. Then studied Arkin in Istanbul medicine. After successful completion in 1961, he returned to Eskişehir and practiced there as a doctor.
In 1968, the offer to play in a movie in the role of a doctor. He became known in the following years through the personification of heroes like Kara Murat, Malkocoglu, Seyyid Battal Ghazi and Köroğlu. He played almost always all physically challenging and interspersed with several martial arts scenes itself in the Battal Gazi Quadrilogie Cuneyt Arkın fights in the role of the legendary Battal Gazi as Umayyade against the Crusaders.
