Curriculum framework

A curriculum is a curriculum for vocational training, which describes the learning objectives and content for vocational education at vocational school. He is not to be confused with the training plan that specifies the appropriate skills and knowledge within the company training, this is part of the respective training regulations.

The curriculum contains no methodological requirements for teaching. Since the trainees bring different experiences and representations, the curriculum must be designed quite open ( he gives up only the frame before ). A curriculum framework is structured around learning fields. He can be adapted to the needs of the professional schools of the individual provinces. This is achieved by implementing and adapting the curriculum framework in their own curricula. The reaction in such a concrete curriculum is the responsibility of the federal states.

Curricula are decided by the Standing Conference of the Ministers and Senators of the Länder (KMK ), but the training plan is prescribed by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

Curricula and training plans are always published together, for example in the Federal Gazette.
