Cursed soldiers

Outcast soldiers (Polish Żołnierze wyklęci ) are Polish resistance fighters of the anti-communist underground organizations called who fought in the years 1944-1963 in the People's Republic of Poland against the pro-Soviet communist regime.

The last " outcast soldier " - Józef Franczak - was killed on 21 October 1963 in the vicinity of Piaski.

National Day of Remembrance

Since 2011 in Poland on March 1, the National Day of Remembrance of the outcasts soldiers ( Narodowy Dzień Pamięci " Żołnierzy Wyklętych " ) committed.
