Curtea Veche

Curtea Veche (English: the Old Princely Court ), as the residence of Vlad III. Dracula built in the 15th century works, now a museum in the center of Bucharest, Romania. In the 16th century Mircea Ciobanul built it after the siege of the city of Bucharest by the Turks again completely and then it became the core of the city, surrounded by the houses of traders and craftsmen. Alexander Ypsilanti built a new Fürstenhof in 1775 at Dealul Spirii and thus acquired the former Fürstenhof his name The Old Princely Court, while the new one was also called The New Duke's palace. In his current role as a museum, inspired the ruins Mateiu Caragiale to write his novel Craii de Curtea Veche de - sign. It is also at the center of efforts to restore the historic center of Bucharest.
