Production and representation

Cyanuric fluoride can be obtained at 134 ° C by the reaction of cyanuric chloride with hydrogen fluoride at 40 ° C, or with sodium fluoride in acetonitrile.

Properties

Cyanuric fluoride is a flammable, colorless to yellowish liquid with a pungent odor, which decomposes in water. It is hydrolyzed by dilute hydrofluoric acid to cyanuric acid. Cyanuric fluoride is more reactive than cyanuric chloride.
