Cyberjaya is a 1999 newly founded city in Malaysia, which extends in the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC), about 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur. The urban area covers about 50 km x 15 km and can accommodate two universities, several hundred companies and about 8,000 inhabitants, mostly working or studying here, as well as numerous leisure facilities.

The city is adjacent to the new administrative center of Malaysia Putrajaya the heart of the Multimedia Super Corridor, which was established by the Malaysian government, so here high-tech companies to set up with government support - with the aim of Malaysia on its way from emerging to mature to support industrial state.

The current urban area consisted mainly of palm oil plantations until recently. Since its official inception in July 1999, the city is constantly growing through the Zusiedelung of high- tech enterprises. An important core of the city development is the newly established Multimedia University Kuala Lumpur with its affiliated business incubator ( Incubation Center ).

The jaya city name means success or perfection.
