Czech Lion

The Český lev is a Czech film prize. Winners will be awarded annually since 1993 with a crystal lion in more than 15 categories.

Award

Can be Excellent Czech films that are full evening (over 50 minutes). In each case, the films of the previous year will be awarded. The nomination will be held in February, the ceremony in Prague's Lucerna in March.

Categories

Best Film, Best Director, Best Scenario, Best Cinematography, Best Music, Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Audience Award, Award for many years of merits for the Czech film and: As main categories, among others, are (must be not awarded ) Best Documentary.

Furthermore, there are prizes for the best movie poster, the price Magnesie for best foreign film, the prize for the best Sazka unrealized screenplay, a critics' prize, the prize of the film magazine Premiere. In addition there are the plush lion, which is awarded as a prize for the worst film.
