Czesław Siekierski

Czesław Adam Siekierski ( born October 8, 1952 in Stopnica ) is a Polish politician Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe.

Siekierski, a graduate engineer and Doctor of Agricultural Economics, worked after the first study as a lecturer at the Warsaw Agricultural University. From 1971 to 1977 he was an activist in the student movement and the rural youth, after which he joined several companies to. The early eighties, he headed the department of organization in the executive committee of the Zjednoczone Stronnictwo Ludowe. Later he was director of the Foundation for assistance programs in agriculture. In 1999 he was in the PSL Executive Director and board member.

Siekierski sat from 1986 to 1990 in the Council of the Warsaw municipality Mokotów. From 1997 to 2004 he was a member of Sejm 2001-2003 State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In 2003 he was named to the observer in the European Parliament, he has since Poland joined the EU in 2004 a full member of Parliament.
