Dabney State Recreation Area

The Dabney State Recreation Area is a 54 -acre state park on the north bank of the Sandy River in Multnomah County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The park is located six kilometers east of Troutdale on the Columbia River Highway and serves as a day trip. The complex features a two-kilometer loop trail, picnic areas and swimming. Along the river you can fish, also is a disc golf course available.

In 1945, the Multnomah County the state of Oregon the foundation for the current park area until 1968, the park was expanded to its current size. Was named the park after Richard T. Dabney, an entrepreneur who owned a summer home in today's park area to his death in 1916.

In the western, older part of the park is a paved pathway leading to the swimming area at the Sandy River. The large square surrounded by picnic tables, near the bathing area is a boat ramp. The newer part of the park also includes a picnic area and a between bamboo, horsetail, cottonwoods and alders meandering trail. The use of the park is chargeable.
