Dachhiri Sherpa

Dawa Sherpa Dachhiri ( born November 3, 1969 in Chulemo - Taksindu ) is a Nepalese mountain and ultra-marathon runner and cross-country skiers.

He won the first du Mont- Blanc Ultra Trail 2003. 2004 and 2008, he was second in this race, 2007 Fifth.

He became known as the only participant of his native country at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, where he started 15 km less than 99 participants took the 94th rank in the cross-country competition. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, he was 127th in the freestyle sprint; the pursuit race over 30 km, it did not reach the target. Also for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he qualified and finished the 15km freestyle competition as 92 of 96 starters.

Dawa Sherpa Dachhiri is married since 1998 and lives in Chêne -Bourg ( Canton of Geneva ). He is engaged in a construction company.
